In urban settings it is easy to see nature working to break down what has been created by humans. Weeds slip through cracks, tree roots break concrete, and soil shifts to move foundations. In this design, the stockinette section represents the human effort to control nature and create order. A line in the design is moving over like a vine or a root, creating space for nature to move back in and recreate what was once there. Nature is represented by the lace panel.
