Note about length
The samples are worn on a 32 cm / 12.75” neck. Length of the striped center band can be customized to accommodate a different neck circumference.

Needles
24” / 60 cm US1½ / 2.5 mm circular needle (or straight needles if preferred)

GAUGE
30 sts x 52 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch, after blocking.

Gauge doesn’t need to be spot on as long as you like the knitted fabric obtained with your chosen needle size.

CONSTRUCTION
The scarf is worked flat in simple garter stitch in two colors. Each wider panel is worked in a single color, transitioning with stripes throughout the center narrower section. An applied i-cord provides a neat finished edge.
You can opt for low contrast subtle hues or go bold, but Fragrant Cloud will also look good in a single color.
