This extremely soft and warm cowl is made by finger knitting long braids and then tying them together, using a crochet band to conceal the join.

If you haven’t tried finger knitting before, I have included a link to a tutorial that I used to learn the craft.

This cowl is best made using chunky/super chunky weight yarn because anything lighter does not provide such a nice stitch definititon. This pattern uses 2 balls of drops Andes in heather.
