Frankie the Frankenbear
This pattern (written tutorial with photos) includes a PDF allowing you to crochet Frankie the Frankenbear!
Pattern Level: Advanced Beginner-Intermediate (Make sure you can do the skills listed in the “Special Skills Needed” section below).
Special Skills Needed:
-Ability to do color changes
-Ability to work in back loops only
-Ability to embroider the stitches/nose
Supplies:
For Bear (about 8 inches tall):
-4mm crochet hook
-2.5mm crochet hook
-Green worsted weight yarn for main body color (I used Red Heart in Spring Green, less than one skein)
-Grey worsted weight yarn for feet and bolts (I used Red Heart in Grey Heather, small amount)
-Black Yarn for nose (I used Red Heart in Black, small amount)
-Black embroidery thread for stitches and mouth (approximately 4-5 feet)
-Two silver or black 25mm safety eyes with backs
-Fiberfil to stuff
-Poly Pellets or weights of your choice (optional)
-Sewing needle to embroider stitches, sew body parts together, and weave in ends
-Scissors
-Blush (optional)
Abbreviations:
st/sts – stitch/stitches
fo - finish off
mc – magic circle
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
sc2tog – single crochet two together (decrease)
blo - back loop only
