Frannie Baby Vest is worked bottom up in one piece. At first the ruffle is worked and then the smock pattern on the body. Sts are then cast off under the arms and on the next round new sts are cast on for the sleeves. The smock pattern is then continued on the yoke while at the same time decreases are worked. When there are not enough sts left to work the smock pattern a short piece of stockinette is worked followed by a rib around the neck. A short opening is worked in the back.
