The Free Bird Cocoon is an oversized, cabled, cocoon style wrap. The center back panel features mirrored cables from Norah Gaughan’s Cable Source Book with smaller cables centered between. Stitches are picked up along each side and cables and knit columns are worked outward from the center to create a large rectangle. After blocking it is folded and live stitches on the ends are grafted together to give it’s shape! I-cord edgings are worked around the body and sleeve edges for a nice smooth edge. Knit up in Shibui Knits Drift yarn (fine merino and cashmere) the Free Bird Cocoon is a soft, luxurious way to stay cozy all winter long!
