The Free Spirited Shell Shawl is an easy, advanced beginner crocheted shawl that is worked sideways. There are also directions for working the border two slightly different ways.

You can use any yarn, in any weight, and work the shawl to any size. Use a larger than normal hook.

Sample was made using Knit Picks Chroma yarn in fingering weight, 1 skein (396 yards), and after blocking shawl measured 23” deep by 42” across after blocking.

My testers used yarns from fingering weight to aran weight.

Many thanks to my testers, pandastamper, croknitmama, CymraesCrochet, CollieGrl64, mmcrochet , harnish408 and purlingkitten!

Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please do not sell finished items online. If making for charity, please let me know the name of the charity & include my contact info with the item (http://anastaciaknits.net).
