Intermediate crochet shawl pattern written in English for a beautiful vintage-style crochet shawl, crocheted in a feminine lace pattern with a pretty texture. Just two simple rows are repeated to create this triangular crochet shawl, making it very relaxing to make. The border is easy to follow, with no counting, guaranteeing a stress-free finale to your finished crochet scarf.

Customer reviews of this pattern:
- “A really nice easy to follow shawl from Nina. As always the pattern is clearly written. I used the drops alpaca that Nina used and it crochets beautifully. It looks delicate but the alpaca makes it a nice weight. As you can see I am still working on it. ..love it”

  • “Started my French Fancy Shawl today - going well so far - I am absolutely loving it! Thank you for the lovely pattern.”

This crochet shawl pattern is written in both American and British UK crochet terms (two separate Pdfs) in easy-to-read language with helpful notes and explanations of all the stitches, so that you can crochet with confidence throughout. I’ve also included tutorial photos for the first pattern rows so that you can check your work.
The skill level is given as Intermediate. A little experience of lace patterns would be helpful but is not essential.

This beautiful crochet shawl pictured here has been created using Light (DK) yarn, however the pattern could be made using any yarn weight of your choice with the appropriate hook sizes to achieve a soft drape.
