A light romantic openwork crescent inspired by fresco colors, mosaic motifs, soaring domes and architectural details

Knit on 3.25mm/US3 needles with 9 colors 25g/95m/104yds each of naturally-dyed artisanal Merinos d’Arles 4-ply Fingering from Renaissance Dyeing. The yarn is worsted-spun and comes from sheep that graze the slopes of the French Alps. A kit is available here from Renaissance Dyeing.

59 size 6 gold glass beads are added with a crochet hook to the openwork band above the chevron border (the beading is optional)

Dimensions: approximately 167cm/66in across by 56cm/22in deep at center back
Gauge: approximately 21 stitches and 28 rows = 10cm/4in in stocking stitch

A challenging knit with stranded intarsia lace knitting and some very long rows towards the end!

The pattern is charted with notes on the charts and techniques.

English and French versions of the pdf are available.

Fresco Crescent is also available as part of the Indigo & madder eBook.
