I designed this Frilly Scarf after being asked to make something for a Christmas gift and also a scarf to tie around trees as a charitable gift. It wasn’t quite what I had in mind, but this is the end result. I have made this a free pattern so you can make it to give as a gift or give someone a scarf to keep themselves warm this winter.

It’s a very simple pattern and one that can easily be done while watching TV. It works up quickly and you can make it as long as you like by repeating the pattern sequence.

Gauge is not critical but it has been stated at the beginning of this project.

There is a simple photo tutorial to guide you through the pattern.

All my patterns are written in US terms and have a conversion chart to UK terms at the beginning in the pattern notes.

Don’t forget to add your completed project to Ravelry. I would love to see them!
