These frogs and tree frogs knit up in a couple of hours. They will sit and keep you company and smile all the while! Using sock yarn and #1 DPNs will produce a tree frog. Heavier DK yarn and #3 needles make a larger pal. Toys are forgiving. Just use needles a bit smaller than usual for the weight yarn you’ve chosen. You will need, in addition to 10 yds of your main color, 6” of red for the mouth, a tiny bit for nostrils if you want them, 4 mm glass beads for the eyes (instructions for knit eyes are included, as well). Roving for stuffing. A yarn needle and beading needle and thread, and a fifth DPN is helpful for making bobbles. These are really fun to knit up and they make me think of the “peepers” in Springtime that serenade each evening. Frogs are so cool!
