This cute baby beanie hat is knitted in the round. I have used doublepoints, but it would work equally well with a circular needle and the magic loop method if you prefer.

The little frogs are made from a combination of cables and bobbles.

The pattern contains separate instructions for three sizes (newborn, 3 to 6 months, or 6 to 12 months). I have recommended a wool: Sirdar Snuggly Doubleknit, but there is no reason why other doubleknit wools would not work just as well. The hats take between 24g and 34g, depending on size. Even the largest size takes less that one 50g ball, which is nice as you probably have enough left for a pair of booties.

I did think about calling it the Five Little Speckled Frog Hat, as the two smaller sizes have five frogs around hat.

My pattern also describes how to block your hat when finished to get the best look possible.
