Tea and Frogs - I love them both, so why not combine them!? Introducing my “Green Tea, But No Flies For Me” froggy in a tea cup!!! This amigurumi crochet pattern is perfect for tea lovers who also happen to like frogs. It’s the perfect gift or desk accessory… and the frog can jump out of the cup any time it likes, so if you prefer to make the frog without the tea cup, go right ahead.

This pattern has been rated as “Intermediate” meaning it is suitable for those who are confident and familiar with amigurumi techniques. It is not designed for beginners. In addition to basic crochet stitches this pattern assumes knowledge of making a magic ring, working in the round, increasing and decreasing and changing colours. All of these techniques can be easily learnt through free online tutorials if you are not familiar with them.

Finished frog size is approximately 15cm tall and 9cm across when made with a 3mm hook and DK/8ply yarn.

Stitches used include: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, increase, decrease, back loop only, front loop only.

Materials needed: 50 to 100g in 8ply / DK in GREEN, plus less than 50g in 8ply / DK in the following colours: GREY, PINK, WHITE and RED (or equivalent in your preferred size).
