Knitting pattern with crochet decoration “Froggie beanie” + video supports

Frog helmet KNITTING PATTERN fits not only for Blythe or Icy doll but for other dolls and toys too: Waldorf and textile doll, teddies, amigurumi, stuffed toys, american girl, Paola Reina etc. with head diameter approx 32 cm / 12.59’’ (if you use meantioned yarn and tools).

Toad knit beanie pattern includes 12 pages, 33 photoes and 3 video supports of animal hat’s creation.
Please note! The main beanie piece is knitted, the froggie eyes are crocheted. Using this Blythe knitting pattern you can knit the beanie without any seams for your pretty doll or toy.

The pattern is written in detail but you must be familiar with basic knit stitches and techniques such as:

  • cast on/cast off;
  • how to make knit and purl stitches, ssk, K2tog;
  • worked ‘back and forth’ on 2 knitting needles;

Video support has:

  • how to knit ssk stitch correctly;
  • method of invisible seam;
  • process of casting.

Materials and Tools:
Beanie main piece:

  • Fingering yarn –1.75 oz / 246 yards, 225 m / 50 g
  • knitting needles – 3 mm size (for Neo Blythe, Icy doll, American girl and similar doll/toy with 28 cm / 11 inch head diameter); 2 mm size (for Paola Reina, middie Blythe, Holala, Pipita, Hachichi and similar doll/toy with 20 cm / 7.87 inch head diameter)
  • button for fastener Froggie Eyes:
  • Sport yarn – 1.76 oz / 174 yds, 160 m / 50 g
  • crochet hook 2.5 mm size / 1.5 mm size for smaller hat
  • stuffing materials
