From Afar
This pattern is a collaboration between myself and Julie Asselin.
She is a yarn dyer from Quebec, and together we bring you this pattern.
It is a top down triangle shawl that can be altered to use most any weight of
yarn- but take it from me, you should use Julie’s yarn Sevilla. It is beautiful!
You can find Julie at http://www.julie-asselin.com/
and you can find me at www.thesesecrets.com
and www.intodarkwoods.com
Yarn: 3 skeins of Sevilla by Julie Asselin. (115g/200 yards each- color Confiture)
You will use most all of the three skeins. I had enough leftover to make a
large swatch, and have 10g left. To be safe, make sure you have 600 yards!
Needles: 5mm- 32” circular needle
Notions: 4 stitch markers and a darning needle.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows in a 4”X4” square
Finished blocked size: 72 inch wingspan- 28 inch spine.
