“From Square One” Tunisian crochet beanie is worked one square at a time, entrelac style, using a double knitting weight yarn. Starting at the crown, the hat is worked top down by picking up and linking stitches to previously worked squares.

No need for a special hook, this pattern can be worked using regular, short, straight crochet hooks (4.00mm and 5.00mm, or size required to obtain correct tension/gauge). Also, no sewing, just hiding of the ends.

A knowledge of Tunisian crochet is needed, skill level intermediate.
UK crochet terms are used for the brim.
This is also a brilliant pattern for using up oddments of yarn.

Sizes - 15 ins/38 cm, 18 ins/46 cm, 20 ins/51 cm head circumference. (This is the measurement of unstretched hats).
