Frost Lopi Sweater
Frost is a classic Icelandic-style sweater featuring a graphic stranded-colorwork yoke and a simple colorwork detail at the hem and cuffs.

Originally published in 2015, Frost has now been completely updated and regraded. Over the years I received feedback that the original sizing could run quite fitted, so the new version has been redesigned with a more comfortable, contemporary fit while keeping the character of the original sweater.

The updated pattern is available in XS–XL, designed to fit bust measurements of 80–120 cm / 31½–47¼ in, with approximately 3–6 cm / 1¼–2¼ in of positive ease.

Frost is knit seamlessly from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked separately in the round, then joined for the stranded-colorwork circular yoke. The underarms are grafted after the yoke is complete.

The sample is knit using Plötulopi held double, but the pattern can also be worked in an Aran/heavy worsted yarn that gives the required gauge of 14 sts per 10 cm / 4 in. This makes it easy to substitute yarn if Icelandic wool is not readily available.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL)
To fit bust: 80 (90, 100, 110, 120) cm / 31½ (35½, 39¼, 43¼, 47¼) in
Finished bust: 86 (94, 103, 114, 126) cm / 34 (37, 40½, 45, 49½) in
Gauge: 14 sts = 10 cm / 4 in

The body and sleeve lengths can easily be adjusted to suit your preferred fit.

The pattern is available in English, Icelandic, German and Norwegian.

If you purchased an earlier version of Frost, the updated pattern is available through your Ravelry library.
