Keep all the ladies on your list warm with these easy and luxurious mittens. They are lined for extra warmth and to keep the fairisle
floats from being problematic.
YARN, GAUGE, SIZE, AND MACHINE:
The samples are made using DK weight yarn. The pattern will work on either a mid-gauge or bulky machine. The samples were made on the bulky at stitch size 2 for the fairisle and cuff, stitch size
1 for the lining. Mid-gauge machines will require a
larger stitch size setting of course. Stockinette gauge should be 5 stitches/8 rows per inch. A wool yarn that lofts after washing is preferred for this project. Claw weights at the edges of the work keep the fairisle knitting nicely. Size given fits most ladies.
