Frost Flowers Lined Hat Knitting Pattern

Lace in winter? Lining is the answer. With two lofty layers, this hat will keep you warm on the coldest winter days. The hat is knit in the round in one piece from the crown of the ribbed inner lining to the crown of the lace outer layer. A heavy worsted lofty single ply yarn is recommended to really bring the frost flowers lace into high relief, but the pattern would be just as lovely in a multi-ply yarn.

Size: One size/ adult. The relaxed circumference is approx. 16” and will stretch to fit any adult size.

Materials:
Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted (heavy worsted/ aran weight, 190y) 2 skeins
Double pointed needles (dpns) set of 5, size 9
Circular needles sizes 8 and 9, 22” or shorter
Tapestry needle
1 or 2 stitch markers

Gauge: 3 ribs (6 sts)/ 5 rows = 1” in unstretched 1x1 rib on size 9 needles
