The aesthetic of the Frostdrake Shawl is inspired by the formation of ice crystals as water freezes. The juxtaposition of different colors and fibers in fingering and worsted weight yarns lends contrast and textural interest, and repeated geometric themes visually “crystallize” the ice reference. Exquisitely detailed, the Frostdrake Shawl has regal drape and beautiful movement.

This pattern includes full instruction set in both Charted and Written form, as well as an (optional) lace edging shaped with short rows. The optional edging is knitted as part of the main shawl body (no seaming).
