Frosty Toes Socks
Squishy, festively fancy, textured socks to keep your frosty toes cozy and warm!
Are you a super-stasher of the self-striping yarns like I am?
This pattern is the perfect pairing for gorgeous self-striping yarns.
I always want the right pattern to show off beautiful self-striping hand-dyed yarns. This might just be my all-time favorite. It’s relaxing and rhythmic, not terribly challenging with enough interest to keep you going.
A contrast color is recommended for the cuffs/heels/toes as it shows of the details of the festive cuff and snowflake toe.
Construction
Knit cuff down, in the round, using MagicLoop (my favorite) or DPNs if you prefer - my personal motto ~ knit what you like, how you like!
Yarn
Obviously, I love a self-striping yarn for this design. It makes an excellent scrappy project as well. Choose any color or pattern of yarn you like!
A Note on Contrast Cuffs/Heels/Toes
You’ll need more than a 20g mini skein (often included in sock sets) to work the cuffs/heels/toes: testing showed 12-14g of contrast was used for each sock = 24-28g total.
Sizes
3 sizes are included: Small=56sts, Medium=64sts, Large=72sts
to fit a leg circumference of 6.5”, 7.25”, and 8”
Instructions
Pattern instructions are written with tips and tricks included that will create a neat and tidy finished sock.
An excellent beginner sock pattern!
