This pattern is part of my Classic Winter Collection.

What comes to mind when you think of winter? Is it silver and gold and jingle bells? Or cookies and hot chocolate and pie? Is it bright red winterberries, pine cone wreaths, bare branches covered with crystal clear ice, or a glittering field of snow? How about the cheerful songs of the over-wintering birds – The flash of cardinal red or the adorable black cap of a chickadee visiting the bird feeder? Don’t forget the fluffy, marshmallow mounds of fresh snow on a pine tree’s wide branches! I hope this collection, inspired by all the little things that whisper “winter is here,” reminds you of your fondest winter memories and gives you that warm, peaceful “all is well” feeling that only a quiet winter day can. Merry Knitting!

These comfy fingerless mitts are worked in the round from wrist to fingers. The cuff features a dotted rib, alternating with bobbles. The hand portion is worked in a simple stockinette pattern and finished at the fingers with ribbing or a decorative wave lace (smaller size has fewer eyelet reps), while the lovely arched palm gusset creates a comfortable fit. Overall, this pattern is constructed simply and is easily customized for desired hand or cuff lengths. BOTH charted and written instructions are included to suit your preference

Size x/xl shown in picture. Size s/m will have fewer eyelets on the lace edge.

NOTE: the larger needle size is for cast on only.
