Frozen Harbour is inspired by the eerie, quiet and beautiful sight of the frozen shoreline of gulf of Baltic Sea in Latvia. It’s not every year, that the gulf shoreline freezes up. It’s a rare and magical sight. The absolute serenity where it is supposed to be the crushing of waves; white, sparkling landscape where it supposed to be dark blue water tapestry all the way to horizon.

The shawl consists of simple, easy to memorize stitches, that makes this project a perfect knitting meditation piece when you want to unwind and not count the pattern repeats. It works up fast and the little ripple texture gives an instant gratification of seeing the project progressing. Gentle ruffle along the edge gives the shawl light, airy feel bringing a perfect contrast to the textured main body.
