This pattern is for the mouse and its 3 fruit costumes – an apple, an avocado & a pineapple!

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:
Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project.

For the mouse (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:

• Main mouse colour - I used pale grey, cream or pale brown (approx. 23.5m per mouse).
• Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 13m per mouse).

For the apple costume (pages 9 - 10), you will need the following colours:

• Main apple colour - I used red (approx. 26m).
• Stalk colour - I used brown (shade ‘pebble’) (approx. 1.25m).
• Leaf colour - I used green (shade ’parsley’) (approx. 1.75m).

For the avocado costume (pages 11 - 12), you will need the following colours:

• Seed colour - I used brown (shade ’pebble’) (approx. 3.25m).
• 1st inner colour - I used light yellow (shade ’lemon’) (approx. 1.5m).
• Main inner colour - I used light green (shade ’mint’) (approx. 8m).
• Outer colour - I used dark green (shade ‘fern’) (approx. 26m).

For the pineapple costume (pages 13 - 15), you will need the following colours:

• Main body colour - I used yellow (shade ‘sunshine’) (approx. 17.5m).
• Body accent colour - I used gold (shade ’mustard’) (approx. 11m).
• Leaf hat colour - I used dark green (shade ’fern’) (approx. 11.25m).

Please Note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

• A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
• 6mm black safety eyes.
• Some toy stuffing.
• Some finer black yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face (this step is optional).
• Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.
