Do you have lots of little leftover bits? These cute footies are a fun option! I call them “FSSF” - which stands for “Fun Scrappy Stripey Footies”.

This pattern also showcases another way that I make my gussets for my short row heels to fit my high instep. There is also some shaping on the back of the heel to help the footies stay up inside your shoes. I’ve been making my footies like this for years and even wrote out the basics of this on some of my project pages. But after being asked, finally decided to publish it to make it easier to find and use rather than rummaging through my old project pages for the info.

This is a fun way to use up scraps and minis. I was able to make two pairs of adult sized footies from one of my monthly shipments of Row One yarns - so that’s 10 10g minis for 2 pairs.

I’ve included some basic shadow wrap instructions for the heel, but any short row heel will work.

While I have made these many times throughout the years, this particular rendition has not been officially tested. So if you find any problems, please let me know.
