This easy knitting aran hat is super quick to knit and perfect for new knitters.

The lush texture on this Aran (US Worsted) hat may look tricky but it’s super simple to knit!

With 9 size options you can knit this simple hat for the babies, kids and adults in your life… and don’t forget to knit one for yourself too!

Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs or FIXED CIRCULARS

NOTE: The grams listed for each size are written for Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran, as this yarn is perfect for this pattern. You can however use any aran/US Worsted yarn that recommends 5mm (US 8) needles with the stocking stitch tension listed below.

When purchasing alternative Aran / US Worsted yarns you will need to refer to the yardage/meterage listed below.

Hats look best when stretched onto your head. The width sizes below give an indication of the flat off-the-needle width of the main hat, and the stretch that is possible. The hats can stretched further, but I would suggest going up a size if you need additional width for your size/age.

You will need:
45 (55, 65, 75, 85, 100, 115, 1130, 145) gms - Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran (available via Lovecrafts.com (UK) and yarn.com (US)
1 pair of 4mm (US6) single pointed needles / or DPNs (a fixed circular if preferred)
1 pair of 4.5mm (US7) single pointed needles / or DPNs (a fixed circular if preferred)

(NOTE the main hat is knitted on 4.5mm (US7) needles as the main hat stitch textured pattern looks best with this smaller needle)
