The Fullerton Cardigan is inspired by multiple iconic cardigans from the nineties. Worked in a thicker yarn gauge, it’s a fast project, and it features a buttonband with easy buttonholes. This cardigan is worked back and forth from the bottom up.

Difficulty Intermediate

Finished Size 35.5 (39.5, 43.5, 47.5, 51.5, 55.5)“ bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 39.5”; modeled with 6” of positive ease.

Yarn Brown Sheep Company Lamb’s Pride Worsted (85% wool, 15% mohair; 190 yd/4 oz): #M126 jaded lagoon, 4 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7) skeins.

Needles Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 32” circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker; stitch holders; tapestry needle; five 1” buttons.

Notes The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from the lower edge to the underarm, then the upper fronts and back are worked separately. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round.
