Everything sounds better in Latin

Funiculus means ‘Rope’ in Latin and that is exactly what I think of with this beanie and its simple cables that rise up to a neat crown. The ‘ropes’ are separated by squishy panels of a contrasting garter stitch and stockinette mix.

You will be working in the round, from the bottom up. You will be creating simple 4 stitch cables and at the crown you will be decreasing within the cables.

Written in full with handy progress check boxes, so you can keep a visual track of where you are.

Materials Needed

Yarn

CHUNKY ~ 65g each in colour A and 35g in colour B

You should be able to get two opposites beanies out of two 100g skeins Be sure to choose two colours that are highly contrasting. You can check this by taking a black and white photo.

One more thing …

If you like the look of this pattern it would be a huge help to me if you would give it a like. Your support of my little dream is so appreciated. Every ‘like’ helps and it’s a known fact I do a tiny happy dance each time I get a notification. I am a terrible dancer!
