I am always trying to knit yet warmer mittens for my long suffering chilblained hands.
These are double layered with a fur liner knitted separately from a densely knitted pure wool outer, the latter being slightly larger so as to fit over the liner.I treated myself to cashmere fur for the liner, but this could be substituted by Erika Knight’s wool fur or a chenille such as Sirdar Snowflake chunky.
They are knitted on 6mm dpn, so even with the two layers, they are a speedy knit.
