Furl

The weather cools and the leaves gently drift from the trees, bringing with them a magical array of seasonal colours. The rich saturated hue of Rainbow Heirloom’s Golden North transported me back a few weeks to the heady days of summer’s end. Fields bursting with grains ready for harvest and neatly bundled sheaves awaiting collection. As the memories of summer mix with the promise of a cold winter fast approaching, I am brought back to the present, cool autumn days, the knitting season, perfect hat weather!

Strong columns of rib flow effortlessly into a beautiful lace pattern that is worked at a tighter gauge for added warmth. The smocked lace, reminiscent sheaves of wheat, is a wonderful match to the sumptuously soft and delightfully warm baby Alpaca.

Available in two sizes this elegant hat will be your constant companion on crisp autumn walks and cold winter mornings.

This design was created specially for the Rainbow Heirloom Nostalgia Club. To purchase yarn please visit www.rainbowheirloom.com
