The boomerang shape is created by executing decreases on one side and increases on the other, and can be used with any yarn to make a shawl as large or small as you like. Feel free to be creative and use our multi-textured yarn to make a shawl that is uniquely yours!

The sample was knit using a little over half of a Cat Mountain Fiber Arts Fusion 500 Skein, and measures approximately 52 inches from tip to tip. You may choose to make a larger shawl that uses more of the skein by adjusting the number of stripes in the repeats. For example, since I did 25 stitch repeats for the sample as indicated in the pattern, I was locked in to having enough yarn for an additional 25 stitch repeat in another texture in order to conitnue, and because the rows get longer with each additional row, I did not have enough to do this and make the shawl consistent. BUT, if you change yarns every 5 or 10 rows, your yarn will go much farther.
