Want to crochet a sock that can be worn with shoes !!?? Well look no more. With some basic knitting skills you can crochet a sock that can be easily worn with shoes.

The toe, heel and leg are crocheted with a generous increase in the gusset area for comfort. The foot is knit for ease of wearing in shoes and the ribbed cuff is knit for a good fit and finish to the crocheted leg.

Pattern written for the 40 inch circs and a single color.
If using the 40 inch circs, you will be using a Magic Loop style method of dividing half your stitches on either side of the cable.
Double Points can be used instead of circs.

D (3.25mm) hook
US #1 needle
40 inch circular or Double Points

100 gm of sock yarn should be plenty of yarn.

Update for the Gusset Area
Rnd 1 says to hdc in each st around - instead hdc in the heel stitches and sc in the knit stitches (front).
Rnd 2 says to hdc in each sc around - instead hdc in the hdc (heel) sts and sc in the sc (front) sts

The sc sts will make the stitches lie flat across the front of the sock while the hdc stitches over the sock heel will still give the stretch you need to pull the sock on over your heel.
