A Top-Down hat/beret suitable for all weights of yarn, so swatching is optional. This design makes up well in yarns with a halo, and is an easy knit.

The original brown DK weight Fuzzy in the cover photo weighs 54 grams and does not cover the ears. The crown width was 4.5” from the center, so you’ll want to start the cable increase stitches at 5” from the center for a longer, roomier beret.

Fuzzy has yarn over crown increases that morph into a subtle (no purl stitch/stitches on either side) 4-stitch cable that travels into the band.

For those who prefer working from charts, and have a lot of experience using them, the last page (4 of 4) is all you really need. The chart only is available on my web site (see below).
