CONSTRUCTION

The Gabrielle Dress begins with a structured upper band worked separately. Once completed, the band is joined in the round, and stitches are picked up along its lower edge to begin the bodice. The bodice is then worked seamlessly in the round in a textured stitch pattern, creating a fitted, corset-inspired silhouette.

The bodice is knit to approximately hip level, where the stitches are bound off. Stitches are then picked up along the lower edge of the bodice using a single strand of yarn to begin the skirt. A series of increase rounds gradually expands the stitch count, creating a soft, flowing silhouette with beautiful drape. The skirt can be customized to your preferred length, whether mini, midi, or maxi.
The shoulder straps are worked separately and sewn neatly to the back of the bodice, allowing for a clean finish and an adjustable, balanced fit.
