Gaenari Sweater
‘Gaenari Sweater’ is a circular yoke style sweater inspired by the Gae-na-ri (forsythia koreana), worked from the top-down.
’Gae-na-ri’ is a native Korean flower with lovely four-petaled yellow blossoms, the iconic flower that signals the arrival of spring.
Blooming Gaenari patterns follow the stems from the neckline to wrap around the entire yoke, with matching patterns at the cuffs to add a romantic touch.
Worked using a single needle size throughout, with the reverse stockinette stitch, except for the Gaenari pattern sections. (A simple tip for knitting instead of purling is also provided.)
The body ribbing is designed to complement the overall look while minimizing the curling of the reverse stockinette stitch. The hem is finished for a clean and cozy look, providing a more polished finish to the overall garment.
‘Gaenari Sweater’ is provided in 8 sizes, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL and is designed to have approx 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) positive ease.
