Galadriel – Lady of the Golden Forest – the most beautiful of all elves in Tolkiens „Lord Of The Rings“ is the namesake of this beautiful shawl.
It is a rectangular shawl which is knit from a central provisional cast-on in both directions . It is topped off with a wonderful leaf-edging. To give the lacy shawl stability, beads are placed at both ends of it.
Worked in an ivory tone this stole could be the highlight to a bridal gown, or in an elegant black or burgundy the perfect eye-catching accessory to an evening dress.

The finished size is approx. 185 x 60 cm(72 x 23 in)

The pattern contains no complicated stitches, but I assume the basics of knitting techniques.
You need a provisional cast-on, which is explained in the pattern.
Inserting beads is explained as well.

Needed materials:

• approx 750 metres (820 yds) of laceweight to fingering-weight yarn (it should not be heavier because of loosing the light and lofty character of the stole)
• beads
• a piece of very thin wire
• waste yarn for the provisional cast-on
• knitting needles size 2,5 - 4 mm
• crochet hook size 3,5 - 4 mm
• sewing needle
• sissors
