Galatée, warm slippers to chill at home, is taking its name from a ballet, remember the television series « L’Age heureux » in the 1970s, about the ballerinas of the « Opéra de Paris »…or a Lully’s Opera!
Worked into the round from top-cuff-down, using thin needles which gives them an excellent hold , especially at the fairisle cuff.
Optionally, wollen soles are slipped inside and leather (or imitation leather) ones outside, both are sewn with the knitted sole between them. That’s why without those soles, the foot could be a little too large, so another proposition is described at the foot / toe section.

I added some photos of my friends tester’s ones !
