Notes
UPDATE: acrylicsheep kindly turned my hand-drawn notes into digital graphs, making it much easier to follow the patterns. My originals are still available for those who are interested in this piece’s creation process.

Measures approximately 36 inches wide by 45 inches tall. Crocheted with a size G Tunisian hook.

Gauge is not crucial: In my afghan, each panel is 36 stitches, which equals 8 inches wide.

I made this afghan for a dear friend of mine who loves the Game of Thrones series, both the books and the TV show. It is made in Tunisian crochet from Red Heart SuperSaver and one color from Vanna’s Choice acrylic yarns. They are cost-effective and hold their shape. I have shared my hand-drawn patterns for anyone who would like to try them. Please note, they are drawn with pencil on graph paper with all my notes to myself, so they are not fancy, but should help you with your project.

Yarn colors and amounts:
(All Red Heart Super Saver unless noted)
light yellow - one skein
dark grey - one skein
light grey - one skein
dark red - one skein
medium red - one skein
gold - one skein (Vanna’s Choice)
beige - one skein
white - one skein
black - four skeins

On my website, I included a link to the original cross stitch patterns that inspired this project. There are also other house sigils available if you need/want more houses.
