This pattern is knitted from bottom up, it’s shaped in the back makes it very stretchy so that it becomes even more comfortable than other leggings. The shape holds it up without an elastic band with the wool recommended. If merino wool from Drops is used or similar it might be too stretchy and might need an elastic in the double rib knit waist band.
