This is a pattern for a cable and lace wide scarf However, there are instructions contained within the pattern for a stole, (19 1/2 inches wide) a shawl (23 inches wide), and a narrow scarf, (7 inches wide) giving you the choice of what you’d like to make.

This scarf is knitted with sport weight yarn. The scarf is approximately 12 inches x 78 inches, but can be altered as stated above, and requires approximately 900 - 1100 yards. The focal cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney.

The stitches are both charted only.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling .)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.

The stole was expertly tested by Karen Bowen, who can be reached at: ktbowen18@msn.com, and knit with Lacey Lamb (2 strands held together) by Jade Sapphire.
