This design was the result of a 2017 ‘design your own’ challenge in SKA.

It takes a couple of classic gansey motifs and flanks them with cables for a simple yet elegant unisex sock.

Directions and charts are provided for a medium 73 st size - with the use of cables the fit will feel similar to that of a ‘comfortable’ 64 st plain sock. However the design can easily be adjusted simply by adding or removing stitches from the sand stitch side panels.

The pattern has been written to be needle neutral, and although relatively simple, some knowledge of sock knitting is assumed. However, if anything is unclear, or you spot any mistakes, please let me know so that I can amend the pattern.
