The GARDA Vest Maxi is knitted with raglan from top to bottom and without seam. It is started with an I-CORD cast on. This is explained with corresponding pictures. After the neckline and the raglan have been knitted, the armholes are binded off and the body is knitted. Except for the armholes, each edge gets an I-CORD edging. The GARDA Vest Maxi is constructed in such a way that it is not necessary to pick up stitches from the edge to create the I-CORD edging. In the back area, short rows are used to achieve an optimal fit.
The I-CORD on the button bar is knitted in every row and the I-CORD on the bottom is created by casting off with I-CORD.
Since my first attempt at this vest was knitted at Lake Garda, the vest is named after this beautiful spot on earth.

The pattern is suitable for experienced knitters because it involves knitting with two strands and incorporates short rows and simultaneous increases in the back section (this is described in detail).

Die GARDA Weste Maxi wird mit Raglan-Schrägen von oben nach unten und ohne Naht gestrickt. Es wird mit einem I-CORD begonnen; aus diesem werden anschließend Maschen aufgenommen. Dies wird mit entsprechenden Bildern erklärt. Nachdem der Halsausschnitt und die Raglan-Schrägen gestrickt sind, werden die Armausschnitte abgekettet und der Körper weitergestrickt. Bis auf die Armausschnitte erhält jeder Rand eine I-CORD-Umrandung. Die GARDA Weste Maxi ist so konstruiert, dass dazu keine Aufnahme von Maschen aus dem Rand notwendig ist. Im Rückenbereich wird mit verkürzten Reihen gearbeitet, um eine optimale Passform zu erhalten. Der I-CORD an der Knopf- bzw. Knopflochleiste wird in jeder Reihe mitgestrickt und der I-CORD am unteren Saum entsteht durch ein Abketten mit I-CORD. Da mein erster Versuch dieser Weste am Gardasee gestrickt worden ist, wurde die Weste nach diesem schönen Fleck Erde benannt.

Die Anleitung ist für erfahrene Stricker geeignet, da 2-fädig gestrickt wird und in der Rückenpartie mit verkürzten Reihen und Zunahmen gleichzeitig gearbeitet wird (dies wird genau beschrieben).
