Garden Party Purse
Perfect for markets, the Garden Party Purse is a sweet addition to market stock. My style is an eclectic/vintage mix, and this little crochet flower bag ticks all my boxes. The French knots might be my favourite element. It’s a perfect scrappy crochet project and you can mix and match whatever yarns you have available.
I can’t wait to see your Garden Party Purse!
150g DK yarn (I used Charity DK)
4.5mm crochet hook
Needle for sewing in ends and making the French knots
Stitch marker
Scissors
mr – magic ring
sc – single crochet
sc inc – single crochet increase (working 2 single crochet in the same stitch)
blo – back loop only (work a stitch in the back loop only)
hdc – half double crochet
ss – slip stitch
sc inv dec – single crochet invisible decrease
-
This crochet flower bag pattern is worked in the round, using a stitch marker.
-
This is a beginner pattern.
-
You can play around with different yarns. I used 2 strands worked together for the body of the bag and a single strand of DK for the petals and French knots. Your bag will be smaller if you only use a single strand.
