Gardengate is inspired by the beautiful wrought iron gates surrounding gardens in Scotland. This lightweight sweater is knit up in fingering weight yarn for a versatile garment with a flexible and easy to wear fabric. Choose your preference of short or long sleeves. Starting at the neckline, Gardengate is worked seamlessly and in the round from the top down. Short rows are added to shape the neckline and the stranded yoke is worked. The sleeves and body are separated and worked top to bottom. This design lends itself well to many types fingering or sport weight yarn: handdyed, gradient, superwash, nonsuperwash. With easy top down construction, you can try on as you go and add or reduce length as you prefer.
