Gardens of Giverny Hat is the new ‘cousin’ to Gardens of Giverny pattern family

Gardens of Giverny Hat and other various accessories were inspired by paintings of Claude Monet. He fell in love with Giverny while looking out of a train window. He bought a house and land and set out to create the magnificent gardens he wanted to paint. Some of his most famous paintings were of his gardens in Giverny. This hat is like his paintings — balanced brightly colored lace patches surrounded by simple garter frames.

Hat is worked in the round, bottom up, from Tubular cast on, mostly in garter stitch with short row (no wraps) sections of simple lace in-between.
