Garter Romper is a simple and roomy romper with minimal, yet decorative, eyelet details along the raglan seams. It is worked both flat and in the round from the top down in garter stitch using 1 strand of either Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk.
The first part of the yoke is worked back and forth to create an opening at mid-back. This opening is closed with 3 buttons. Afterwards, work is joined and the yoke and body are worked in the round down to the crotch where front and back crotch are finished separately back and forth. The yoke is shaped with raglan increases that create an eyelet pattern along the raglan seams. The sleeves are worked in the round and the sleeve length can easily be adjusted. The crotch is closed with 4 buttons to make diaper change easier.
