The scarf is knit lengthwise and the yarn is carried throughout so you won’t be weaving in lots of ends. It has a four stitch garter stitch border at each end so that the ends of the scarf are smoother.

In reality this isn’t really a slip stitch scarf though it looks very much like one I knit after taking a class at Stitches about slip stitch. The original scarf had an excessive number of loose ends to weave in and on my third scarf I had a brain storm that if I knit back both colors of yarn in Row 4 of the pattern (instead of only one color) all the yarn could be carried throughout.

Scarf and Hat adult sized
Scarf uses 1-2 skeins each of worsted of Color A and Color B
Hat uses 1 skein each of Color A and Color B
If you knit both the scarf and the hat you probably won’t need to get a third skein of color B.
