Geeky Girls Knit 5th Podiversary Socks

Five years ago, the adventure that is the Geeky Girls Knit Podcast began! Geeky Girls Knit is the Mamma/Daughter video podcast for fans of all things knitting & geeky. 2017 has been a big year as we celebrate not only over 250 episodes, but also our 5 th Podiversary. And you can celebrate with us by knitting your own pair of GGK Socks.

The Design – On these toe-up or cuff-down socks, the stitch pattern is pairs of geeky glasses on a reverse stockinette background. The cuff has a small cable that represents Dami & I sharing our lives with our viewers.

Grab your yarn and needles. Geeky Girls (and Guys) Knit! Happy Knitting!

These socks are knit using the magic loop method (although the purchaser could easily adapt it for two circulars or double points).

This pattern includes toe-up and cuff-down instructions.

The knitter needs to be comfortable with the following techniques: knit, purl, knit through the back loop (ktbl), M1LP, M1RP, purl two together (p2tog), slipped stitches, slip slip purl (ssp), cables, and wrap and turns (W+T). Instructions for all these techniques are included in the pattern. In addition, a video tutorial for the shadow wrap technique of W+T for short rows has been recorded by the designer.

This pattern includes instructions in both written and chart forms for 56 stitch, 64 stitch, and 72 stitch socks.

Huge thanks to my amazing test knitters: Andrea (angeiship), Julia (4jewels4), Kimberly (Napiersknits), Päivi (kaisukka), Shama (JessiesGirl84), & Steph (Stephjackson2)! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
