Gem Phases Cowl
This pattern plays with one base diamond motif with changing motifs within the diamonds. I loved the idea of using a gradient yarn to showcase the changes, but it would work well with any high contrast color pairings.

Suggested Yarn:
Worsted weight yarn
Sample: Lang Yarns Merino+Color 04 Black Green Blue (MC) and Merino+ 223 Light Grey (CC)
Worsted - 100% merino extrafine virgin wool

Yardage estimates:
197 yds/180 m; 3.53 oz/100 g
98 yds/90 m; 1.76 oz/50 g
10% buffer included

Needle Info:
Main body: US size 8/5.0 mm 16”/40 cm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
Ribbing: US size 6/4.0 mm 16”/40 cm circular needle, or one size smaller than gauge needle size

Gauge:
22 sts x 24 rounds = 4”/10 cm in colorwork pattern worked in the round with larger needles, blocked
Special Techniques: Cast-on, bind-off, stranded knitting in the round (2-colors)
