A lightweight cardigan with 3/4 balloon sleeves, worked in a simple repeat bee pattern. Worked in fingering or sock yarn held together with a strand of lace weight mohair silk yarn, to create a luxurious, soft, slip on cardigan. Choose beautiful hand-dyed sock yarns with speckles and contrasts to match your mohair silk.

2 - finished chest - 122cm / 48”
3 - finished chest - 142cm / 56”
4 - finished chest - 162.5cm / 64”
Chest measurements are taken with front edges together, however the cardigan fronts are designed to hang open. Recommended ease is plus 15 -30cm / 6-12”

Cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom up, then fronts and back are worked separately from the armholes. Shoulder shaping is with short rows and the shoulders are joined with a three needle bind off. Sleeves are knitted in the round then sewn to the arm holes. The front bands are picked up and knitted with a little shaping at the back neck, and finally finished with an i-cord bind off.

Cardigan is designed to have 3/4 length sleeves, but you can make them any length you like, the same with the body of the cardigan - if you choose to lengthen, you may need more yarn than specified.
